They say the eating is one of life's great pleasures and what better place to do it than in Ireland. If you are near the coast then you have to try the seafood which is landed daily from the trawlers (fishing boats). The choice is nearly unlimited from lobsters and oysters to sea trout, plaice and turbot. Ireland is famous for its chefs, many of whom work in the top hotels and restaurants around the world and of course there are many fine traditional Irish dishes and traditional foods that are to be tasted. The bigger towns and cities offer a much more global choice from fast food to Indian, Chinese and other foreign specialities. So when you come to Ireland . . . . come hungry!
